Let's talk about sleep

Healthy and restful sleep is crucial to physical and mental wellbeing. Prioritizing good sleep hygiene is the first step in improving overall health. Think about it - you basically sleep for one third of your life! Sleep hygiene is the sleep habits that individuals develop to promote better sleep (falling asleep and staying asleep). Mental illness and stress can impact sleep, which contributes to worsening mental health, and it becomes a self-perpetuating cycle. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) has a great resource on building healthy sleep habits.
