Support groups are a great way to connect with people who are going through the same experiences. Some people with mental health disorders may benefit from involvement in support groups (online or in person) to share struggles, achievements, and setbacks in a safe environment. There are plenty of online support groups in existence, and there is not a one-size-fits-all model. If support communities sound helpful, you are encouraged to explore online and trial different forums and groups to find your perfect fit. However, any advice obtained from others in such groups should be taken with a grain of salt. This is not a replacement for professional advice and therapy, and should not be used in place of recommendations from a mental health professional.

If you want more information about support groups, the first step is to talk to your doctor or behavioral health consultant at your clinic.

Below are some resources for finding a support group online / in the community. These are presented as ideas and launching points for your journey, and we are not affiliated with any of these groups or organizations.
